@branz - as I said below, I mixed up my move order! the pressure of playing Danny got to me :)
yeah really. the whole point of playing the accelerated dragon is to prevent white from castling queenside and going into the yugoslav attack. he didn't play d5 when required.
"it's too late to cry over spilled milk" that is some old adage. funnily enough it's also one of the two things that psychiatrists will ask whether or not you know the meaning of in order to determine the neuro-chemistry of your brain. apparently with their god-like powers all they need is your evaluation of these two old adages in order to do this. man are they talented! anyway...
Nice singing Danny! I love it!
Nice singing! I love it!
Love your vids and your sense of humour!
hurray! finally got the opportunity to watch this entire thing.
"understanding it and realizing he screwed up" is a good description of my opening :)
No offense intended...
Dude... why are you singing a song at approximately 6:45 into the video??? it was..... um..... weird..... I won't sing while I'm playing chess unless it's gangnam style.
i am such a boss because i can type an .
Really entertaining game Danny! Well played that you pushed for the win but sometimes there's no shame in a draw

Great video, very funny commentary by Daniel. I wonder if he ever saw that movie "One flew over the cookook's nest".....
@mineralfellow: "At 19.05, I think Bg6 is stronger than taking the R immediately." I thought so, too. After Bg6 Qf6, white probably still has to take the draw with something like Qb4+ Qe7 Qc3! Qe5. Just one question for IM Danny: what does 'scmilly-billy' mean?
*sniffle* I can't see the entire video because I'm not diamond!
I'm gonna go cry in a corner now, all I got from the first 8 minutes was what I already knew: I screwed up my move order big-time and was about to pay for it in blood!
At 19.05, I think Bg6 is stronger than taking the R immediately.
I saw the perpetual, but I essentially thought a perpetual was good for ME! I'll watch the video when I get home Sunday, but I know we both missed a lot in that game :)
Danny, thanks again for giving me the opportunity to play you! I nearly resigned after mixing up my move order and giving you a passed pawn on a silver plate...
And yeah, I did a post mortem and once I saw Ra8, I nearly burst into tears. Haha! Great game, maybe we'll meet again sometime...
Yeah, I was wondering who would be the first to notice what I didn't during the game OR in post game review (ie, that my Queen was trapped on Ra8). - I noticed it last night when reviewing the video one last time for errors before posting it...
I was like, man, I really did play like &^%$ in that game!!!
Thanks to all who enjoyed the video...
nice observation charlie. silly danny. kudos for realizing the king walk is likely not dangerous for white. g5 followed by taking on d5 would have saved a lot of trouble, which danny pointed out in a sideline. danny sounded a bit under the weather in this one i think.

It's been a while, and the rust shows! Today Danny faces a familiar opening foe in the Dragon Sicilian, but soon after achieving a nearly winning position, he blunders into a wild and unclear "Exchange Down" endgame. Does he have enough compensation to hold on? Maybe even swindle a victory? You'll have to watch and see, but either way, make sure you learn from his mistakes and always win your won games!
