Dear GM Kaidanov, Thank you so much for these excellent videos! I have been so bored with the main lines in this opening. Thank you for showing us that there is room for creativity in these 'ancient' positions.

I got the Bg4 varaition as white before I studied this video. Did not find

Nxf7 over the board and played f3 and got difficult position with black having 2 bishops. Black should have won but could not find key sacrifice in time trouble. Nxf7 is definately the way to go.

GM Kiadanov, can we get a link to download the PGN file of the games like you made available in the last video?

Kudosive @ 7:17 if black takes the pawn on e5 with the knight, then white plays Qe4+ picking up the knight. Hope this helps!

Video is not working... Should have a message up re: the outage. What is the QA process?

@ kudosive:  If the white queen takes on f7 at 11:15 as you suggest, I believe black would reply with Nf6.  This defends the mate threats on d7 and e8, traps the queen in blacks territory, and black is suddenly threatening mate himself.  I haven't really analysed it, but it seems that Nf6 would have to be the move black plays to refute your plan.

if queen would have took on f7 then to d7 he would of won checkmate..?

11:15 queen takes f7 pawn attaking both the knight as well as pawn on c7 then black goes bishop to a6 attaking whites bishop as well as forking it with the rook but if white ignores the threat cant white checkmate the black king if he moves queen to d7????? based on the layout you provided to me that would make the most since

Why cant knight take pawn on e5 forking the queen and protecting the bishop as well? 7:17?? if queen takes the rook black will be introuble because of the bishop and knight combo
