Thank you for the good video, GM Kaidanov!!
Great video ! Thanks.
Always a great inspirational video from you GM Kaidanov! Your videos are some of the best on chess.com!
Yo GM Kaidanov, You are simply the best at explaining the game. You remind me of Fred Reinfeld. Keep up the good work
dear GM .kaidanaov ,that was a master piece on how to open up the position from nowhere.your explanation was effortless.we do expect more from you.ty very much
Thank you for your time. I enjoyed it very much.
makes sense the video is short (free video), but....just a bit too short maybe....
Many times it is difficult to find the best way even if I know the Qxb2 is a bad move. The key is the activity! Thank you for this lecture!
Very interesting video.
yah obnoxio, i can understand her feeling that way! lol! But i think it would be worth it, if i only had a job. :)
nice video, very nice tactics!
is there something i need to download to view this? i'm having trouble getting it to play :(
That's understandable raynor, glad to see you interested in chess at a young age. Plus my wife gave me a little bit of grief when I put it on the credit card without mentioning it to her! She was like '100.00 for a chess site? '.
Thanks @abnoxio, I actually havent been playing for that long... but im still a freshman in high school (14 yrs old) so obviously i don't have that money to spare! :) maybe when im older, I suppose I will have to see if it is worth it - and i think it very well may be.
I like the slick video effects and the photos of the players.
I just became a diamond member last night at midnight, best 99 bucks I've ever spent. Give it a shot ryanorr1998. I, like you most likely, have played on this site for free for years. And don't get me wrong, it's not "giving back" because we owe them something, the extra stuff I couldn't participate while being a free member make me want to kick myself for not joining earlier. I didn't do any work at my job today, just explored all the stuff I was missing. I wish you good games ryanorr1998. In fact, lets play!
Are you serious? I can't finish the video becauesI'm not a premium member?
very nice opening
von GM Gregory Kaidanov
GM Kaidanov elaborates this weekend on the consequences of neglecting your development and "general activity" for the sake of material. He reminisces on an highly influential book from his youth, but more importantly, he reminds us of what the initiative, sacrifices, and more "active play" is really all about. Who better to lead by example than "The Magician" himself? Enjoy Gregory's review of Tal-Tringov, 1964!

GM Gregory Kaidanov
Considered one of "the" premier chess trainers in America for more than ten years, Chess.com is very proud to add Grandmaster Gregory Kaidanov to its list of prestigious Video Authors. A certified FIDE Senior Trainer, his reputation as a chess coach precedes him internationally. Gregory currently resides in Lexington, Kentucky with his wife Valeria and their three children.
